A Note about the Black Spiral Dancers

The Black Spiral Dancers are the Bad Guys, as such their level of power should be decided by the GM, and no hard and fast rules are needed for character advancement.

Not all Garou are born Black Spiral Dancers, this tribe kidnaps other tribe members and force them to dance the Spiral Labyrinth.  This means that Black Spiral Dancers can also have any of the other tribal Gifts as well.


Bane Protector (1)

Cost: 1 Gnosis      Shot: 2

Skill: Wyrm's Boon

This Gift allows a Black Spiral to summon any nearby Banes to come and help her.  The Banes may resist, but as long as the Black Spiral is acting in the best interests of the Wyrm, the Banes will be inclined to help her.  They will even fight for her, but will not allow themselves to be destroyed.  The Garou rolls his Wyrm's Boon against the Gauntlet of the area, The Outcome is the distance in City Blocks that the call is heard.  This Gift is taught by a spirit servant of the Whippoorwill.

Sense Wyrm (1)

Cost: None      Shot: 3

Skill: Wyrm's Boon

The Garou can sense manifestations of the Wyrm in the nearby area. This Gift involves a mystical sixth sense, not sight nor smell; although the Garou is likely to say, "This place stinks of the Wyrm". The Garou rolls his Wyrm's Boon against a target number of (20 - the tainted one's, Wyrm's Boon). Then he detects the stench of the Wyrm on the target. This Gift is taught by any Bane.

Skill: Wyrm's Boon

The Garou may create a patch of inky black darkness.  The Garou rolls his Wyrm's Boon with the Gauntlet as difficulty, for each point of Outcome, a 10' x10' area of the Garou's choice is covered in pitch-black darkness.  This Gift is taught by a Spirit of Night.

Howl of the Banshee (2)

Cost: 1 Gnosis    Shot: 2

Skill: None

The Garou may emit a fearful howl that unnerves all in the vicinity.  All that hear the howl must make a Willpower roll with the target equally twice the Garou's Gnosis or be impaired at -2.  Friends of the Fianna only have to roll higher than the Fianna's straight Gnosis.  This Gift is taught by a Banshee, a woeful Spirit of the dead.

Ears of the Bat (2)

Skill: None

This Gift enables the Black Spiral Dancer to use sonar like a bat, enabling him to sense objects and foes even in total darkness.  The Garou is able to act in total darkness at no penalty.  This Gift is taught by a spirit servant of  The Bat.

Wyrm Hide (2)

Cost: None      Shot: 5

Skill: None

This Gift allows the Black Spiral to transform her skin, in any form, into one that is orange, tough, leathery, smelly and covered in lumps.  This Gives the Garou 6 Armour points.  any hit that penetrates the skin causes a bluish pus to run from the lumps.  This Gift is taught by a spirit servant of the Green Dragon.

Unseelie Faerie Kin (3)

Cost: 1 Gnosis     Shot: 6

Skill: Wyrm's Boon

The Garou can call one or more faeries to aid him.  These Fey are not under his control , though they are favourably disposed towards him (except on a Botch, then the seelie come-a-calling).  What they do is totally up to the GM.  The Garou rolls his Wyrm's Boon with a difficulty of 10 + the Gauntlet of the area.  The Outcome determines how many Fey answer the call.  This Gift is taught by a Faerie Lord.

Skill: None

The Dancer has flaps of skin under her arms like a pterodactyl or a flying squirrel (even in human form) and may glide at the Garou's Move +2.  This Gift is taught by a spirit servant of Whippoorwill or Bat.

Foaming Fury (3)

Cost: Wyrm's Boon     Shot: 4

Skill: None

The Garou's mouth bubbles with a greenish fluid.  Anyone bitten (using Wyrm's Boon, not Martial Arts) must roll their Constitution with the Damage done as difficulty, otherwise the Black Spiral can decide what the victim does in their next three shot action.  This action usually takes the form of a berserk attack, no overtly suicidal actions are permitted.  Once Foaming Fury has been invoked it lasts until the end of the battle.  This Gift is taught by a spirit servant of Glouogh, "Dance of Corruption".

Crawling Poison (4)

Cost: 1 Gnosis      Shot: 4

Skill: None

This Gift coats the Black Spiral's fangs and claws in a viscous toxin that inhibits the Garou's regenerative powers.  The effect lasts for one hour for each point of Outcome.  Once this Gift is invoked it lasts until the end of the battle.  This Gift is taught by a spirit servant of The Dark Fungus.

Doppleganger (4)

Cost: 1 Gnosis      Shot: 8

Skill: Wyrm's Boon

The Garou may take the likeness of a particular human or wolf, or even another Garou.  The Garou rolls his Wyrm's Boon, with the targets Chi being the Target Number.  The effect can last for the Outcome in days.  This Gift is taught by a Chameleon Spirit or a Spirit of Illusion.

Skill: Wyrm's Boon

The Black Spiral can hurl spheres of sickly green flame at her opponents.  She attacks by rolling her Wyrm's Boon skill against the AV of her target, the Base Damage of this attack is 18.  In addition the victim of this attack, must roll his Constitution against a Difficulty equal to the Outcome of the attack  If this roll is not successful, then the target will be mutated in ways decided by the Storyteller, these mutations can only be cured with powerful Magic or Gifts.  This Gift is taught by an Avatar of G'louogh, "Dance of Corruption".

Totem Form (5)

Cost: 1 Gnosis + 1 Willpower      Shot: 9

Skill: Wyrm's Boon

This Gift allows a Black Spiral to take on the appearance of his pack's Bane-totem.  The Garou has all the powers of the Bane Totem and even changes appearance to look exactly like the Bane-totem.  The powers and limitations placed on the Black Spiral vary greatly, so it is up to the GM to specify the effects of this Gift.  The Garou must roll his Wyrm's Boon skill against a difficulty of 15.  This Gift is taught by an Avatar of his Bane-totem.

Skill: Wyrm's Boon

This Gift enables a Black Spiral Dancer to release a current of electricity through any conductive material, The Base Damage of this attack is 12.  In addition, if the Black Spiral is touched in any way, the the attacker receives a charge.  The Garou rolls his Wyrm's Boon skill, against the AV of his target.  This Gift is taught by an Execution Spirit.

Blood Omen (2)

Skill: Wyrm's Boon

This allows the Black Spiral Theurge to utilize the age- old art of prophecy by "reading" the innards of freshly killed creatures.  While a Garou or Homid is an especially accurate medium, any warm blooded creature will do.  This Gift can only be used once per session, The Dancer rolls his Wyrm's boon against the Gauntlet of the area, The Outcome is the number of extra positive dice that the Black Spiral can use on skill checks that session, just like Fortune points.  This Gift is taught by a Blood Bane.

This Gift allows the Black Spiral to know if anyone in the surrounding area feels threatened by her and degree to which the target feels threatened.  It also lets her know if anyone uses Sense Wyrm upon her.  This Gift is taught by a Fear Spirit.

A Thousand Voices (2)

Cost: 1 Gnosis      Shot: 4

Skill: Wyrm's Boon

This Gift allows a the Black Spiral Philidox to create illusory sounds to make it seem that there are a multitude of Black Spirals in the area.  This Gift evokes such things as howls, crackling leaves and even illusory scents of many other Black Spirals, the sounds are always appropriate to the surroundings.  The Black Spiral rolls his Wyrm's Boon against the highest Perception of his targets, the Outcome is the number of illusory Black Spirals that he can cause to manifest.  This Gift is taught by Spirits of Deceit.

Skill: Wyrm's Boon

The Black Spiral is able to give a howl that causes the very earth to tremble.  The Wyrm creatures far below the surface can sense the use of this Gift and they will cause tremors of varying sizes.  The Black Spiral rolls his Wyrm's Boon skill against the Gauntlet of the area, and the Outcome is the number of Impairment points that the Spiral Galliard can inflict on those around him, he decides who gets what impairment, this impairment last for the rest of this sequence.  With a high enough Outcome, it is possible to level buildings.   The Black Spiral is immune to the tremors.  This Gift is taught by a Spirit Servant of The Dark Fungus.

Horns of the Impaler (2)

Skill: None

This Gift endows the Garou with a pair of antlers or horns, these are but nubs in Homid or Glabro form, but are very evident in all the other forms.  They Give the Garou an extra +2 Damage in hand-to-hand combat.  This Gift is taught by a Spirit Servant of The Green Dragon.

Rend Reality (5)

Cost: 2 Gnosis      Shot: 5

Skill: Wyrm's Boon

The Black Spiral Ahroun has the ability to tear a rift in reality with her claws.  In the area of effect, Banes gain a +3 AV.  The area will appear as if the sky and landscape had been torn apart, revealing a swirling world of chaos beyond the ragged tatters.  The area is charged with entropic force - All damage rolls in the area are given a bonus of +2.  Any attempt to "Step Sideways" can kill the Garou foolish enough to try it - the Garou must make a Gnosis roll (Diff 18) to avoid 40 Wp's of damage.  The use of this power lasts for one scene.  The Garou must roll his Wyrm's Boon against the Gauntlet of the area, each point of Outcome gives a 10' radius rent.  This Gift is taught by an Avatar of the Wyrm itself.
